Window Film in Irving and Las Colinas, TX

Irving runs from the corporate towers of Las Colinas to the east edge of DFW Airport, with older neighborhoods in between. Most of our Irving work is commercial glass, but the residential side has its own needs.

Office Window Film for Las Colinas Corporate Campuses

The Las Colinas Urban Center and the office parks along Highway 114 and O'Connor Boulevard hold a long list of corporate headquarters and regional offices. Many of those buildings are clad in reflective or tinted glass from the 1980s and 1990s, with newer towers mixed in. Inside, the issues are familiar: one side of the floor overheats, the low sun makes screens unreadable, and glass-front offices offer no privacy.

For older reflective glass, the first step is checking what is already on or in it. Adding film to glass that already has a heavy coating needs care so the pane does not absorb too much heat. On newer, clearer glass, solar control and glare films give the biggest improvement. Inside the building, frosted and decorative films handle the privacy side: conference rooms, HR offices and wellness rooms. These can carry a company logo or a simple band pattern, and they come off cleanly if the tenant moves out.

Window Tinting for Lake Carolyn and Urban Center Apartments

Mid-rise apartments and condos around Lake Carolyn and the Mandalay Canal walkways have large windows that look across the water. Water reflects sunlight back up toward the buildings, so units facing the lake can get glare from both the sky and the surface below. Upper floors also look straight into neighboring glass, which throws its own reflections at certain hours.

Renters cannot always make changes, so we often work with property management on whole-building or whole-floor jobs. Owners of condo units can usually add film as long as it meets the association's rules for exterior appearance. A neutral glare film keeps the canal and lake view clear while taking the harsh edge off afternoon light.

Commercial Window Film for Hotels Near DFW Airport

Irving holds the east side of DFW International Airport, and the hotel clusters along Highway 114 and Highway 183 near the airport have a great many guest rooms with west and south exposure. Guest complaints about hot rooms and faded drapes tend to come from the same few elevations. Housekeeping often notices it first, when curtains on one side of the building fade before the rest.

Solar control film on those rooms reduces heat at the source and slows fading of curtains, carpet and upholstery. We can work floor by floor so the hotel keeps most rooms in service, and we can match the look of film across the building so the exterior stays uniform. Blackout drapes also last longer when less sun reaches the fabric.

Home Window Film in Valley Ranch and South Irving

On the residential side, Valley Ranch in north Irving is a planned community from the 1980s and 1990s known for its canals and walking paths. Houses there have aging double-pane windows and often face the water or open green space. South Irving has older ranch homes from the 1950s through the 1970s, many with original single-pane glass.

Both groups benefit from heat control film on the west and south windows, and UV film where floors and furniture are fading. One thing we do not promise: window film does not meaningfully reduce aircraft noise. It is too thin to change how much sound passes through the glass. For noise, laminated replacement glass or interior window inserts are the right path.

Window Film Benefits for Irving Businesses and Homes

01

Glare Control in Las Colinas Offices

West elevations in the Urban Center catch low afternoon sun that washes out monitors. Glare film cuts that brightness so staff can keep the blinds partly open and still see their screens. It also takes the edge off reflections bouncing between neighboring towers.

02

Cooler Guest Rooms in Irving Hotels

Hotel rooms with western exposure near the airport overheat in summer. Solar control film lowers the heat entering those rooms and reduces the strain on individual room units. Fewer guests end up calling the front desk about a room that will not cool down.

03

Conference Room Privacy Film in Irving

Glass-walled meeting rooms in corporate offices need a screen during calls and reviews. Frosted film placed at eye level gives that privacy while keeping the open feel of the floor. Bands, gradients or full frosting can be mixed on the same floor.

04

Heat Control for Valley Ranch Homes

Valley Ranch houses facing canals or greenbelts have little shade on their main windows. Heat control film reduces the afternoon heat in those rooms and keeps the view of the water clear. It also slows the fading of floors and furniture in rooms facing the water.

Irving and Las Colinas Window Film FAQs

Will window film reduce airplane noise in my Irving home?

No. Film is too thin to change sound transmission in a way you would notice. If aircraft noise is the problem, look at laminated glass or interior inserts. Film still helps with heat, glare and fading.

Can you add film to older reflective office glass in Las Colinas?

Often, yes, but it needs checking first. Some coated glass already absorbs a lot of heat, and the wrong film can push it too far. We review the glass type and recommend a compatible film or advise against it.

Do I need landlord approval for office film in an Irving building?

For anything visible from outside, almost always. Interior frosted film on glass partitions is usually simpler but still worth clearing with property management. We provide samples and product sheets for the approval.

How long does it take to film a floor of hotel rooms?

It depends on window count and access, but we plan the work so only a few rooms are out of service at a time. We give you a schedule with the quote.
